Bellhops is seeking a passionate Full Stack Developer to join our team. This person will help drive the user experience of  and other product offerings. Our Full Stack Developer will work with Technical and Executive Leadership to continue development of our website, mobile‑app, communications, customer facing features and internal portals. As a Full Stack Developer on a small team, you will take complete ownership of the features you work on.

The work you do will be interacted with by tens of thousands of people and will improve the way they see and experience our company and services.

We currently manage a growing e‑commerce market and labor force management system for thousands of our contractors and customers nationwide. An engineer that works with us will be expected to adopt team practices and, after onboarding, will be expected to work closely with team members to solve the desires and needs of our customers and operations team. We aggressively test (TDD) and our new hire would need to be competent at completing test cycles for our new features.

We often pair when making architectural design changes but will put our heads down on days when minor changes are requested. Our team operates at a fast pace and will cloud deploy multiple versions of our product continuously throughout the day. We’re growing quickly and our new team member is not only critical to our success but has a great deal of input into the course of the company from a technical perspective.

• Design and develop highly available and highly scalable application stack using Django.
• Bring to the team in equal parts: artistic vision, strategic design, and solid execution.

• 2+ years experience developing with Django.
• Knowledge and intimate understanding of relational databases.
• Experience with frequent and continuous cloud deployments (AWS/Heroku).
• Experience writing quality tests; our development is test driven.
• A willingness to pair‑program, but an ability to be autonomous.
• Demonstrated top‑notch programming skills and a history of progression.
• Clear understanding of software development best practices.

• Knowledge of UI/UX design
• Experience with iOS / Android development
• Development Operations/System Administration experience
• Links to your open source contributions
• Having a sixth‑sense for information architecture and visual design
