About the School

Elementa is working with a specialist education provider for students that have encountered trauma in their lives. All students have an EHCP for at least SEMH and display challenging behaviour. The organisation focuses on a holistic and creative education approach to reintegrate the students into mainstream schooling or achieve their full potential whilst out of mainstream education.

The headteacher creates a positive and progressive learning environment for students and staff, preparing young people for life beyond education.

Role Overview

The teaching role involves teaching Maths and English to KS2 and lower KS3 students on a 2:1, 1:1, or small group basis. Responsibilities include planning, preparation, recording, assessment, and reporting to meet the students' various learning and social needs.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Positive outlook and resilient, unflappable nature.
  • Sound understanding of safeguarding and good working practices with vulnerable learners.
  • Ability to set clear boundaries and uphold the school’s expectations and policies.
  • Previous experience of positive behaviour strategies or Team Teach training is an advantage.
  • Driving licence and car ownership; willingness to travel between school sites in Somerset, and willingness to transport students if required with appropriate car insurance.
  • Clear DBS; civil offences may be permissible.
