Hours

37 hours per week – all year round

Working pattern

Split shifts:
Week 1 (7:00 am – 3:00 pm) or Week 2 (11:00 am – 7:00 pm). Half‑hour unpaid lunch each day. Friday shifts end 30 minutes earlier. Week 2 shift may start and finish later on occasions (e.g., when there is a letting or event at school).

Role overview

We are looking for an energetic, hardworking, self‑motivated, flexible person to work within our Premises Team, providing effective and efficient site services including security, repairs, general maintenance and cleaning.

Applicants need not have prior experience; training will be given. You must communicate effectively, give positive support to staff and visitors, work well in a team, and be able to work independently with initiative.

The postholder will be part of a wider Trust Caretaking Team and may be required to work across other Trust schools.

Candidates will need to demonstrate the following:
  • Experience relevant to the role
  • Ability to build excellent working relationships in a fast‑moving environment with conflicting priorities
  • Ability to liaise effectively with staff, visitors, students and site contractors
  • Experience and skills in repairs and DIY tasks; awareness of cleaning requirements is an advantage but not essential
  • Organised and thorough; able to work with minimal supervision
  • A full driving licence
