A leading large-scale developer based in Essex is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to join the team on a landmark £106m mixed-use development.

The scheme includes a sports ground, community centre, and residential accommodation and is classed as a Higher-Risk Building (HRB). The project has successfully passed Gateway 2, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to take a key technical leadership role as the development moves into construction.

The Role

* Lead the technical delivery of a major mixed-use scheme from post-Gateway 2 through construction

* Act as the technical lead ensuring full compliance with HRB and Building Safety Act requirements

* Manage and coordinate the consultant design team

* Oversee detailed design, technical approvals, and design change control

* Maintain building safety information and the “golden thread”

* Work closely with construction and commercial teams

* Attend design team meetings and carry out regular site visits to London

The Ideal Candidate

* Proven experience as a Technical Manager within residential or mixed-use development

* Strong understanding of HRB projects and Gateway processes

* Excellent knowledge of UK Building Regulations and compliance

* Confident managing consultants and complex technical packages

* Background in construction, engineering, or architecture preferred
