Associate Position with a Long Term View to Partnership (for the right candidate)
OverviewWe are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our highly reputable independently owned dental practice (4.9/5.0-star Google Reviews). The position is available 4/5 days a week and we would consider both part‑time and full‑time applicants. The position would suit applicants with a minimum of 5 years’ experience post VT but would consider applicants with less experience and exceptional references.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high‑quality dental care to patients, ensuring their oral health and comfort. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional development within a supportive team environment.
The practice is in an affluent and picturesque village location only a few minutes from Chelmsford City centre with free on‑street parking.

The surgery is fully computerised with digital x-rays and air conditioning with a very loyal and stable patient base.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive dental examinations and assessments of patients’ oral health.
- Diagnose dental conditions using clinical examination and medical imaging techniques.
- Develop personalised treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Perform a variety of dental procedures, including restorations, extractions, root canals, and cosmetic treatments.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post‑treatment care instructions.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and other team members to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
- Experience with medical imaging techniques such as X‑rays and digital scans to aid diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Excellent communication and people skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Organised approach to managing patient records and treatment schedules.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry best practices.
- GDC registration
- Have an active and current NHS Performer number
- Valid Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Proof of right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS will be carried out prior to starting
- Evidence of HepB and other immunisations
- Good spoken English and clear communication skills
- Good references
