Full‑time Lecturer in Electrical Installation at Chelmsford College. Works 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum. Salary between £32,916 and £42,280 per annum, plus market pay supplement if applicable. Closing date 06/01/2026.

The College is seeking to appoint a skilled, qualified lecturer who has knowledge and experience of the electrotechnical industry, from installing to testing and commissioning of electrical installations. The candidate should be able to teach to a Level 3 standard and may be supported with teaching training if they have relevant industrial experience. The role may involve some weekend and evening work to meet department demands.

• Deliver teaching sessions on Electrical Installation to Level 3 students.
• Assess and provide feedback on student performance.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of BS 7671 and industry best practices.
• Contribute to course development and continuous improvement of teaching materials.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support departmental objectives.
• Ensure safe working practices in the laboratory and practical settings.

• “Skilled person” qualification as stated in BS 7671.
• Substantial knowledge and experience in the electrotechnical industry.
• Ideal: a teaching qualification with the ability to teach at Level 3.
• Experience in assessors or verifiers is desirable.

• Availability to work flexibly, including weekend and evening sessions.
• Enhanced DBS check required.
