SEN Teaching Assistant - Chelmsford
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and supportive Special Education Needs School located in Chelmsford, Essex.
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Start Date: ASAP
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance to pupils with a range of special educational needs. Your role will be vital in helping students access the curriculum, develop social skills, and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting students with a variety of SEN including autism, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties
- Assisting with classroom activities and learning plans
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Working one-to-one or in small groups
- Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and parents
- Experience working with children with SEN
- A caring, patient, and resilient nature
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant Certificate) are desirable
