Description

The thriving team of Science, part of a busy department offering health, care, science and sport, is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic part-time Science lecturer to teach primarily on our Level 3 Forensic and Biomedical programmes, with the opportunity to teach related subjects throughout the department.

The successful candidate will be joining the team at a time when involvement in the support and design of the new curricula for 16-18 and adult learning programmes will be an integral part of the role.

Responsibilities and Opportunities

Teach and assess Level 3 BTEC Science, with specific experience in forensic and/or biomedical science related modules.

Collaborate in the development and delivery of new curricula for 16-18 and adult learning programmes.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience in teaching and assessing Level 3 BTEC Science with specific experience in forensic and/or biomedical science related modules.
  • Experience of working in a relevant industry, teaching A-level or T-level, and experience in curriculum design and delivery is advantageous.
  • A science degree and a level 5 teaching qualification.
  • An excellent record of teaching and learning practice, with the ability to prepare, plan and deliver high quality lessons in an engaging and exciting way to support learners.
