About 1st Staff
1st Staff Limited is a leading nationwide Alternative Provision (AP) provider. We work closely with Local Authorities, SEND provisions and local schools to support young people, aged 4-25, through delivering bespoke educational and holistic therapeutic support.
Tutor Role
We are actively recruiting for 1:1 Tutors in Chelmsford to deliver engaging and personalised tuition sessions, for young people who are unable to access mainstream education. It is essential for our tutors to be patient, caring and able to build strong rapports with young people.
Role
* Location:
Face to face in a Child’s home, local library, or community centre
* Role: 1:1 Tutor
* Hours:
Part-time or full-time
* Most referrals are 10–15 hours per week
* Full-time tutors typically support multiple students
* Start Date:
ASAP
* Subjects:
English and Maths
Experience Required
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN / SEMH needs
* Ability to plan and deliver engaging, structured lessons
* A flexible, supportive, and student-centred approach
* A commitment to safeguarding
