Gold Education Recruitment is currently working with a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Chelmsford, seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis for a maternity cover contract, starting ASAP and continuing until the end of the academic year.

What You'll Be Doing

Planning and delivering engaging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Teaching the Geography curriculum in line with school expectations.

* Creating stimulating and inclusive learning experiences for all students.

* Managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining high standards.

* Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.

* Supporting students in developing their geographical knowledge, skills and understanding.

* Preparing students for examinations where required.

* Building positive relationships with students, staff and parents.

* Contributing to departmental planning and wider school activities.

* Maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment.

What We're Looking For

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.

* A degree in Geography or a related subject.

* Experience teaching Geography at secondary school level.

* Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Geography.

* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

* The ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.

* A positive, professional and adaptable approach.

* Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of students.

Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with relevant experience are welcome to apply, subject to school requirements.
