AboutThe Role
Are you passionate about the environment? We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Environmental Scientist, where you’ll play a key role in delivering water resource and environmental investigations that support our regulatory commitments.
In this role, you’ll take responsibility for delivering, tracking and reporting on the Water Industry National Environment Programme (WINEP), helping to protect and enhance the environment for the benefit of our communities. You’ll develop action plans, build strong relationships with key stakeholders, and work closely with regulators such as the Environment Agency.
You’ll carry out a range of environmental assessments to support regulatory plans and permits, including work on strategic environmental assets, WINEP schemes, habitat regulation assessments, Water Framework Directive requirements and invasive non-native species. This will also involve preparing and submitting environmental permit applications.
Your technical reports will support key regulatory submissions, so attention to detail and accuracy will be essential. You’ll also stay up to date with emerging environmental issues, sharing insights and acting as a representative for the business within both internal forums and national technical groups.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact, contributing to environmental protection while working on meaningful, high-profile projects.
