Senior Structural Engineer

Well as the central project type, not a side workstream that gets squeezed when budgets tighten.

This is a Senior Structural Engineer position with a building services and engineering practice based in Chelmsford. Structural design across steel, reinforced concrete, and timber, with a portfolio that spans early-stage feasibility through to construction support. Tekla, Revit Structure, and Tedds or similar for analysis. Engineering judgement is rewarded, not engineered out of the process.

You are chartered or close to it, with strong UK consultancy experience and the project-running judgement that comes with it. You can carry a scheme from concept through to delivery, manage clients and contractors without rescue, and develop the engineers around you. Recurring themes on this brief: WELL, residential, commercial, and mixed-use. Prior exposure to those areas is useful, not mandatory.

Salary: 56,000 to 74,000 depending on experience. Working pattern: on-site, full time, based in Chelmsford.
