A dynamic organisation is seeking a detail‑oriented Payroll & Accounts Administrator to oversee direct payment accounts and payroll operations. This is a key role ensuring accurate, timely payments while maintaining compliance with payroll and pension regulations.

Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday‑Friday

Estimated Salary: £26,091 per annum

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, proactive professional with experience in payroll and account management, looking for a hybrid or flexible working arrangement.

Responsibilities
  • Manage payment accounts, monitoring funds and chasing contributions
  • Upload, validate and approve timesheets and invoices, resolving discrepancies
  • Process payroll accurately and on time
  • Maintain accurate records across CRM, payroll and accounting systems
  • Ensure pension auto‑enrolment and correct employer/employee contributions
  • Reconcile accounts and provide data for KPI reporting
  • Respond to customer enquiries and manage account changes
  • Identify and escalate safeguarding or financial risk concerns
What we are looking for
  • Previous payroll experience
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, numeracy and administrative skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload
  • IT literate, with experience using Microsoft and payroll/finance systems
  • Able to commute to Chelmsford
