Streetworks Inspector

Our client, a London Borough in need of a dedicated professional, is currently seeking a Streetworks Inspector on a contract basis within the Highways sector.

• Conducting on-site inspections to ensure compliance with street works and highways regulations
• Coordinating street works activities and ensuring alignment with legislative requirements
• Collaborating with utility companies to agree on traffic management plans
• Managing and resolving issues related to street works activities and traffic management
• Maintaining detailed records and documentation in accordance with the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) and Traffic Management Act
• Providing expert advice on street works legislation and compliance
• Reporting findings and ensuring corrective actions are implemented as necessary

• Experience in street works inspection or coordination
• Strong understanding of NRSWA legislation and the Traffic Management Act
• Excellent knowledge of street works regulations and highways management
• Ability to work effectively with utility companies and other stakeholders
• Attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills
• Clear and effective communication skills
• Capability to produce and maintain accurate records and reports
