North Chelmsford Healthcare Centre are seeking a caring and proactive receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis to cover maternity leave. The position will commence on 1st February 2026 until 11th December 2026.
This role involves working across both of our Chelmsford sites:
North Chelmsford Healthcare Centre and our branch surgery, Beaulieu Healthcare Centre.
Working hours will be as follows;
Tuesday: 08:00
-14:00
Thursday: 08:00 - 14:00
Friday: 12.30 - 18:30
Training and support will be provided with a comprehensive 3-week induction to ensure a smooth on boarding. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player who has customer service/patient experience and offers excellent communication skills.
Main duties of the job- Handle patient queries via phone, email, and in person
- Assist the triage doctor as part of the triage team
- Arrange home visits
- Manage card and cash payments from patients
- Oversee waiting lists and follow-up appointments
- Support clinicians and staff with day-to-day tasks
North Chelmsford NHS Healthcare Centre is a Systm One practice with a growing list size of over 17,000 patients. The practice has achieved a Good CQC rating and has an excellent reputation amongst Chelmsford residents. We are part of the Elizabeth Courtauld Partnership and are expanding with a new branch surgery opening in Beaulieu shortly. Please note, this post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS check.
