Job Description

Pracyva Limited is looking for an SQL DBA for their Esteem client. This would be a 12-month contract. The role involves supporting delivery and BAU operations of Microsoft SQL databases.

Rate: GBP 225-250/day

Chelmsford, UK

We are looking for a highly skilled, technically capable SQL DBA who can demonstrate in-depth experience and advanced knowledge in Microsoft SQL database administration. The candidate should have at least 6 years of experience.

Responsibilities

Perform key DBA functions on SQL Server, including design suggestions and reviewing DR run-books and daily operations.
Work with SQL Server 2008 R2, 2012, and 2016.
Conduct performance tuning, index maintenance, and active monitoring.
Troubleshoot issues and outages, implementing fixes and improvements.
Deploy database changes and migrations.
Work on Data Warehouse solutions, with the Microsoft stack (SSRS, SSIS).
Work in SQL Cluster and SQL Always On environments.
Develop and support BI applications on SQL Server 2008/2012/2016.
Ensure robust backup and recovery strategies are in place.
Power Shell scripting is a plus.
