Summary

The MM/PP Business Analyst analyzes complex business problems to be solved with SAP (ECC and S/4 HANA) and other associated business applications. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective, enhance business performance, and meet user requirements. Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit and integration testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements.

Strong SAP knowledge in MM/PP is essential; understanding of other SAP modules is beneficial. Experience with ECM, QM and PM modules is also desirable. It involves translating user requests into application system solutions, analyzing requirements, and implementing configurations, enhancements, and modifications.

Responsibilities
  • Configure the MM/PP module at a project level; apply SAP technical, configuration, and business area knowledge in ECM, QM and PM when needed.
  • Translate user requirements into application system solutions and design/implement configurations, enhancements, and modifications.
  • Collaborate with system users, management, consultants, and software support staff to resolve business issues.
  • Work in multidisciplinary teams to define and design complex processes for configuration, upgrade, and maintenance of SAP and related applications.
  • Define requirements for forms and reports; design test plans, execute test scenarios, validate data, and document results with business leads.
  • Coordinate end-user training and create training documentation; train end users as required.
  • Perform detailed analyses of business practices and redesign procedures to align with best practices and SAP functionality.
  • Utilize query and reporting tools to provide timely information to system users; determine appropriate programming tools to supply information.
  • Coordinate project management activities for user groups, including planning, scheduling, communication, and issue resolution.
  • Support non-SAP applications or systems as needed and participate in IT standards and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Significant MM/PP SAP experience; ECM, QM, and PM SAP experience desired.
  • BA/BS degree desirable, but practical experience and expertise essential.
  • Proven software systems experience with understanding of database applications, system development, report writing, and SAP ERP; production support and project experience.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts in business terms.
  • Ability to interact with all levels and manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to high ethical standards and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
