Liability Claims Negotiator

Barker Munro Recruitment has a great opportunity to work for a leading Insurance organisation as a Liability Claims Negotiator. You’ll manage a portfolio of Employers, Public, Property Owners, and Products Liability claims from first notification to settlement, ensuring regulatory and company standards are met. Most cases handled will be EL/PL related injury cases and TPPD.

• Handle liability claims up to £100,000 (and higher) from start to finish.
• Investigate, assess, and negotiate settlements.
• Maintain accurate records and data integrity.
• Ensure a customer‑focused approach.
• Identify potential fraud and escalation when needed.
• Support team performance by meeting SLAs.
• Suggest process improvements and support audits.

• Experienced in EL/PL related injury claims and liability principles.
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
• Progress towards CII/ACII or similar qualification preferred.
• Good legal and insurance knowledge.
