Managing Surveyor - Passive Fire Protection
The Managing Surveyor leads the commercial and contractual delivery of fire‑safety projects, ensuring financial control, compliance, and high‑quality service across the portfolio. The role oversees a team of surveyors and works closely with operational leads to maintain strong commercial governance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a team of surveyors, providing guidance, performance management, and technical support.
- Oversee commercial management across multiple fire‑safety projects, ensuring accurate cost planning, forecasting, and reporting.
- Manage contract administration, including valuations, variations, change control, and final accounts.
- Ensure projects meet regulatory and fire‑safety compliance requirements within agreed budgets.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities, implementing strategies to protect project margins.
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams, supply chain partners, and external stakeholders.
- Support tendering, procurement, and commercial input into new business opportunities.
