At Gallagher Bassett, we’re looking for a Business Services Manager to join our team. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with our commercial clients, which include large corporations and carriers, while managing a small, dynamic team of Business Service Associates.
You’ll have the opportunity to shape processes, drive operational efficiency, and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. How you’ll make an impactIn this role, you’ll be the go‑to person for ensuring smooth operations and exceptional service delivery. You’ll lead and inspire a small team of Business Services Associates, providing guidance, training, and support to help them thrive. You’ll oversee client setups, renewals, and reporting, ensuring everything runs like clockwork.
You’ll also play a key role in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal teams. Whether it’s preparing client‑facing reports, managing service level agreements, or supporting claims audits, you’ll be at the heart of our operations. Your problem‑solving skills and initiative will be crucial in identifying inefficiencies and driving continuous improvement. You’ll be
- Acting as a liaison between clients, insurers, brokers, and internal teams to build strong relationships across all divisions.
- Managing and supporting a small team, including providing training and guidance to ensure their success.
- Overseeing client setups, renewals, and reporting, ensuring compliance with service level agreements.
- Preparing and managing reporting schedules, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Identifying and implementing operational efficiencies to improve processes and service delivery.
- Supporting Client Directors and Managers in planning and coordinating claims audits.
- Participating in team, division, and company‑wide projects and initiatives.
- A solid understanding of general insurance and its legal principles.
- Experience in the insurance industry, ideally with exposure to brokers, insurers, or claims.
- Insurance qualifications to Cert CII level.
- Confidence in speaking with clients and delivering challenging messages when needed.
- Strong organisational skills to manage workloads, meet deadlines, and prepare for meetings.
- A forward‑thinking attitude with a passion for problem‑solving and identifying operational efficiencies.
- The ability to motivate and support a small team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to explain complex issues clearly and effectively.
