Plant Operator

Plant Operator - Permanent - Near Maldon, own transport essential
Pay: 12.21 per hour, overtime available

Are you experienced operating machinery and looking for a hands on, full time outdoor role? We are seeking a safety conscious individual to join a professional operation as a Plant Operator. You do not need previous experience in this type of role as full training will be given, but you must have experience operating machinery such as a forklift or other heavy equipment where health and safety was critical.

Full training will be provided on the plant machinery you will operate.

What You Will Do

• Operate plant machinery safely and efficiently
• Perform daily safety checks and basic maintenance on equipment
• Support ongoing operations and other machinery duties as required
• Train new employees in safe machinery operation when needed
• Follow established safety programs and contribute to a team focused work environment

Who We Are Looking For

• Experience operating machinery such as a forklift or other equipment where health and safety awareness was essential
• Willingness to be trained on specific plant machinery
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Positive, proactive can do attitude

Hours and Additional Information

• Monday to Thursday 7 am to 7 pm, Friday 7 am to 3 pm
• Winter hours may be shorter due to daylight availability
• One hour unpaid break per day
• 22 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
• Personal protective equipment must be used at all times
• Random drug and alcohol testing, candidates must pass
