Overview
Rhotic Media is a financial services marketing and events agency. The company owns two media titles—Financial Promoter and Capital Pioneer—with events associated to each. It also operates an agency business offering strategic support to global businesses in marketing strategy, content delivery, training, presenting and live event production.
Our clients rely on us to have a comprehensive understanding of the global economic and capital markets landscape to enable them to stand out from competitors and achieve cut-through in marketing. Rhotic’s team translate client objectives into strategies and assets serving an overall corporate aim through a consultative approach that recognises important themes and unravels technical jargon. The agency works across three key client segments: capital markets, personal finance and financial technology, spanning accounting, banking, insurance, investment, pensions, payments and securities services.
Throughout the training, employability skills are promoted with guest speakers from industry, business insights, graduate start-up and entrepreneur schemes.
Responsibilities and training progressionDigital marketers lead on the creation and execution of a digital marketing strategy. They recognise and respond to business opportunities and customer requirements through a range of digital channels (such as social media, websites and email). They actively employ content marketing and campaign management principles, and financial and analytical tools, to deliver successful initiatives that meet the needs and aspirations of the organisation.
Responsibilities by stage include:
- In year one and two, work on the agency’s owned media titles (Capital Pioneer and Financial Promoter), assisting with marketing operations, events administration, media production, sales support and market research.
- From year two, begin to work as part of the agency’s client teams, across the marketing mix, including researching themes, creating content, podcasts and studio-based filming, and the production of commercial content in both written and broadcast formats.
- Regularly be invited to client events and manage your own workload. Some domestic and international travel can be expected.
The programme is based at our Chelmsford office for three days each week, with one day each week dedicated to university lectures in London and another earmarked for study (at home, at the office or on a university campus).
You will develop an understanding of how financial companies market their products, establish your own extensive contact book and have the opportunity to write news, features and commercial work for a host of companies.
