An established environmental consultancy is seeking an experienced National Quality Auditor to support the National Technical Manager with SHEQ and technical compliance across multiple UK offices.
This is a key role focused on maintaining high technical standards, supporting competency development, and ensuring compliance with asbestos surveying and analytical procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate the induction process for new technical staff
* Provide on-site training and guidance to developing team members
* Audit and authorise new technical staff in line with company operating procedures
* Manage ongoing competency audits of field teams
* Conduct quality inspections of completed asbestos surveys and 4SC documentation (including desktop audits)
* Support refresher training and re-training initiatives
* Coordinate monthly internal quality requirements (QC & RICE reviews, RPE checks, slide retention etc.)
* Manage equipment purchasing, servicing, calibration, and inspections
* Assist in investigations relating to complaints or non-conforming works
* Support internal vertical audits
* Provide feedback to Technical and Regional Managers regarding compliance issues
* Travel to regional offices as required to carry out auditing duties
Qualifications Required
Essential:
* BOHS P402 – Surveying and Strategies for Asbestos in Buildings
* BOHS P403 – Air Sampling and Fibre Counting (PCM)
* BOHS P404 – Clearance Testing and Requirements for Certificate of Reoccupation
OR
* RSPH Level 3 Award in Asbestos Surveying
* RSPH Level 3 Award in Asbestos Air Monitoring and Clearance Procedures
GCSEs (or equivalent) desirable but not essential.

* Experience conducting audits and supporting competency sign-offs
* High attention to detail and compliance standards
* Confident communicator able to mentor and guide field teams
* Willingness to travel nationally as required
