Weekend Catering volunteer

ROLE:

We are looking for friendly catering volunteers to assist the catering staff with washing up, vegetable preparation, making sandwiches, and keeping the kitchen and cafe clean and tidy.

We are currently seeking Saturday and Sunday volunteers (flexible times available).

KEY TASKS:

Tasks may include (but are not limited to):

• Washing up
• Assisting the catering team in meal preparation, ensuring high standards of food hygiene
• Peeling vegetables and preparing ingredients
• Serving meals for patients and staff
• Assisting with receipt of deliveries and storage
• Cleaning activities to maintain the kitchen/cafe and equipment in line with Environmental Health regulations and Farleigh Hospice standards
• Keeping cafe tables clear and clean
• Restocking fridges

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Physical ability to fulfill role requirements, including safe moving and handling
