A privately-owned, UKAS accredited Asbestos laboratory is looking for a P401 qualified Asbestos Bulk Analyst to join their team. You will be operating out of their site in the South East, analysing ACM samples to identify the presence and type of fibres. Applicants will be expected to manage their own workload effectively in order to meet company deadlines, and must have existing industry experience.

Ideally, you will be based around:
Chelmsford, Billericay, Maldon, South Woodham Ferrers, Southend-on-Sea, Wickford, South Benfleet, Canvey Island, Braintree, Witham, Romford, Hornchurch, Epping, Harlow, Sawbridgeworth, Bishop’s Stortford, Broxbourne, Cheshunt, Enfield, Potters Bar, Welwyn Garden City.

Experience /

Qualifications:

* Must hold the BOHS P401

* Strong track record working as an Asbestos Bulk Analyst

* Will have worked within a UKAS accredited company

* Robust technical knowledge

* Excellent organisational skills

* Strong literacy, numeracy and IT ability and experience

The Role:

* Conducting the bulk analysis of asbestos samples to confirm the presence and type of asbestos / fibre

* Inputting analysis results into the company’s database

* Receiving samples and logging / storing correctly

* Generating analysis certificates

* Maintaining the functionality and cleanliness of the laboratory

* Working to set deadlines

* Adhering to strict safety guidelines

* Participating in AIMS and quality assurance checks
