Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Ability to effectively use SAP/APRISO for production applications
  • Ability to lead independently and make timely decisions
  • Capable of assigning work to non‑unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with ability to partner across Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to remove barriers
  • Comfortable using digital tools (such as SAP, Apriso, MS Office, reporting systems)
  • Ability to support a flexible work schedule supporting overtime, off‑Fridays and/or weekends as required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship
Job Description

You will be a 2nd Shift Supervisor with our Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) Chelmsford Operations team. This role is all about leadership on the floor, setting the pace for 2nd shift, developing people, and ensuring factory execution.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Lead the shift:
    Own daily factory execution across safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
  • Set direction and accountability:
    Provide clear guidance, monitor workflow, and ensure operators know expectations and goals.
  • Run the rhythm:
    Drive daily huddles, PMT, and performance metrics to keep the team aligned.
  • Develop people:
    Coach, mentor, and hold your team accountable while building engagement and teamwork.
  • Solve problems in real time:
    Partner with Quality, Engineering, Production Planning, and other functions to quickly remove barriers to product flow.
  • Connect shifts:
    Ensure smooth communication and handoffs so 1st and 2nd shift operate as one unified team.
  • Drive improvement:
    Lead and participate in process improvement initiatives that strengthen performance and execution.

Pay Rate

Annual base salary range (varies by state): $73,800 – $130,180. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, employee assistance program, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
