Chelmsford Public Schools is now accepting applications for the following anticipated vacancy. The District reserves the right to change this vacancy or not fill it based on further staffing changes, enrollment, or budget.
Responsibilities- Work with middle school students with Autism requiring ABA methodology.
- Provide specialized instruction and support for academic, social, and behavioral needs.
- Collaborate with BCBA, service providers, general education teachers, parents, and outside providers.
- Design, supervise, and implement IEP plans; modify curriculum; maintain individualized curriculum binders.
- Communicate with the team and manage support staff.
- Collect and analyze student data and monitor progress; write progress and evaluation reports.
- Assist classroom teachers with inclusion strategies.
- Administer diagnostic assessments; coordinate services and scheduling.
Full-time
Job Requirements- Master’s degree in special education from an accredited institution.
- SEDE Teaching License with Severe Disabilities license.
- Strong knowledge of ABA principles.
- Experience working with students with Autism.
- Experience with ACE Curriculum preferred.
- Ability to implement behavior support plans consistently.
- Ability to manage multiple ABA para-educators.
- Experience modifying and adapting curriculum.
- Experience with IEP development and solid understanding of IEP processes, state and federal regulations.
- Solid organizational skills.
- Ability to consult and collaborate with service providers and support staff.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
