Long-Term Substitute Integrated Preschool Teacher

Assignment Dates: 01/16/2026 – 04/16/2026 (subject to change)

Description: DESE licensed teacher for an inclusive preschool classroom serving children with and without identified disabilities.

Qualifications & Responsibilities
  • Experience working with a Special Education population.
  • Certification in Early Childhood Education and Moderate Disabilities preferred.
  • Experience with preschool‑aged children with and without disabilities.
  • Evaluating children to determine eligibility for special education.
  • Developing and implementing IEPs in an inclusive classroom setting.
  • Data collection and writing of progress notes for students.
  • Lesson planning and implementation.
  • Collaborations with colleagues, including staff meetings and professional development.
  • Other duties and responsibilities appropriate to the position and as assigned by the preschool coordinator.

The program addresses the whole child, facilitating communication, the delight of imaginative play, development of fine and gross motor skills, acquisition of self‑help skills, and foundations of literacy. Using the Massachusetts Preschool Curriculum Guidelines, children with and without special needs are exposed to a rich preschool environment.
