Job Description

Chelmsford Public Schools is seeking substitute teachers, paraprofessionals, and lunch/recess aides for the 2025/2026 school year!

  • Day to Day Substitute Teacher $125/ per day
  • Day to Day Substitute Teacher who is a retired, formerly licensed teacher $150/ per day
  • Associates Degree Required, Bachelors Degree Preferred
  • Long-Term Substitute Teacher (more than 10 consecutive days in the same assignment) $200/ per day
  • Bachelor Degree and DESE licensure required
  • Day to Day Substitute Paraprofessional and Lunch/Recess Aide $16/ per hour

Substitute teachers, paraprofessionals, and aides play an important role in the educational process. As a substitute, your services and contributions are necessary for the continuity of educational instruction of our students. Serving over 5,200 students in PreK-12 in 8 buildings, the Chelmsford Public Schools has continued to be recognized locally, statewide, and nationally for the good work of our students and faculty.
