Director of People Operations & Recruiting at Associated Environmental SystemsWe have an opportunity for a motivated and technically skilled Electrical Engineer to join our forward-thinking team. In this hands‑on role, you’ll work closely with the Senior Electrical Engineer to support service, production, and engineering through troubleshooting, retrofit kit design, documentation, and process improvements. Your contributions will help keep projects on schedule, enhance manufacturability, and uphold our high quality standards.
You’ll apply practical problem‑solving skills, develop creative solutions, and generate precise BOMs and documentation while gaining exposure to both standard production and custom engineering projects. This role offers the chance to work on innovative designs for some of the world’s leading technology and automotive companies—all within a collaborative, growth‑oriented team environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
Service & Field Support
- Design and document retrofit and upgrade kits for legacy equipment.
- Provide technical troubleshooting support to service technicians and customers.
- Assist in diagnosing wiring and component issues on production or fielded equipment.
- Develop ad‑hoc electrical design modifications to improve performance or manufacturability.
Production Support & ECO Management
- Act as a production‑facing engineer
, supporting wiring, assembly, and electrical integration. - Identify and resolve electrical build issues in coordination with production and quality teams.
- Create, process, and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
- Maintain and update electrical schematics, BOMs, and documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing efficiency and repeatability.
- Collaborate with the Senior Electrical Engineer on system‑level design tasks and documentation.
- Assist with electrical load analysis, component selection, and wiring diagram updates.
- Participate in design reviews and prototype builds when needed.
- Review supplier data and support part qualification and alternates for supply chain.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience (preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in industrial control systems or panel design
. - Proficiency in Solid Works Electrical or equivalent 2D CAD software.
- Strong knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and control wiring
. - Familiarity with HVAC systems
, including controls, sensors, and power distribution. - Familiarity with UL 508A, UL 61010, NEC, NFPA 79
, and IEC standards. - Experience with BOM management
, ECO processing, and documentation control. - Understanding of wire harness design and layout practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
- Positive, proactive attitude with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
