Senior Designer, PCB Layout Engineering

Job Duties & Responsibilities

This role requires wide skill in the PCB industry. PCB layout and extensive knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes are essential. The candidate will interface with fabrication and assembly houses, address problems as they arise, and work across multiple engineering disciplines to design complex high‑frequency PCBs.

  • Proficient with Allegro; PADS experience is a plus. ADEF is moving to Allegro in the next several months as the primary CAD tool.
  • Work with a wide variety of engineering disciplines to layout complex high‑frequency PCB.
  • Conduct peer and design reviews for PCB designs completed within the group.
  • Participate in a ticket system for assigning jobs and reporting job status to the engineering community.
  • Design dense and complex PCBs with a wide variety of component types, emphasizing RF signal requirements and board fabrication technologies.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience preferred.
  • Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent desired.
  • PCB design skills including RF and mixed signal/material/technology experience.
  • PCB fabrication process knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of IPC standards.
  • Strong organizational skills, technical curiosity, and desire to work in a fast‑paced team environment.
  • Knowledge of JIRA agile management system is a plus.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required.

Compensation
  • Expected wage range for a new hire: $108,800 to $149,600.
  • Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
