Co‑op, Mechanical Engineering (January – August 2026) Role Overview
- Performs engineering assignments on part of a major project or a complete project.
- Demonstrates creativity in developing solutions, allowing Rockwell Automation to maintain our position as an industry leader.
- Demonstrates good interpersonal skills and works well within a team environment.
- Capable of defining and performing engineering tests to qualify designs.
- Capable of designing electro‑mechanical test systems for various engineering design validation projects.
- Capable of executing engineering change orders and managing BOMs.
- Capable of creating and modifying CAD models and drawings.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree from an accredited college or university.
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future.
- Co‑op requirement: eligible to work during the Spring school semester, from January through August.
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering/Systems Engineering or similar.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
- Preference given to students with previous Rockwell Automation work experience or trained on our equipment.
- Proficiency in the use of a 3D Solid Modeling CAD system (preferably Pro/E, Creo, and Solid Works) and PLM software.
- Experience with programming electro‑mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with SAP or other enterprise software.
- Familiarity with designing and troubleshooting electro‑mechanical test systems which include pneumatic cylinders, limit & proximity switches, linear bearing systems.
- A good understanding of multi‑action tooling fabrication techniques to support complex plastic injection‑molded or die‑cast components.
$22–32 per hour.
