Base pay range$55,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr
Director of People Operations & Recruiting at Associated Environmental SystemsAre you a hands‑on problem solver who loves building things, figuring out how they work, and making them better? Do you enjoy CAD, fabrication, mechanical design, or troubleshooting? If so, AES is looking for motivated early‑career talent to join our engineering team.
In this role, you will learn real engineering skills by working directly with senior engineers, manufacturing, and service teams. You’ll help design and build components for advanced environmental test chambers used by companies like Tesla, Rivian, Meta, Google, and more.
What You'll Get to Do- Create and update mechanical drawings based on ASME standards
- Work in Solid Works to design parts, subsystems, and simple assemblies
- Assist with Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
- Help develop jigs, fixtures, and small mechanical solutions for the manufacturing floor
- Support manufacturing and service by troubleshooting daily issues
- Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Prepare and modify laser‑cut sheet‑metal files
- Collaborate closely with senior engineers who will help you grow
- Comfortable with CAD tools, especially Solid Works
- Mechanically inclined, curious, and eager to learn
- Detail‑oriented with strong follow‑through
- Someone who enjoys building, fabricating, or reverse‑engineering how things work
- Excited to grow into a full mechanical engineering role
- Familiarity with sheet‑metal fabrication
- Experience with Google Suite
- Exposure to PDM tools
- Any hands‑on shop experience (school, projects, personal builds, etc.)
- Must be authorized to work permanently in the U.S.
- Solid Works experience (coursework or internship acceptable)
- Strong interest in mechanical design, problem‑solving, and manufacturing
- Mentorship and career development with senior engineers
