Summary  Direct Support Professional staff are members of a team responsible for providing high quality direct care services to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities who attend Incompass Day Services Programs. Staff are responsible for assisting individuals participating in groups and activities prescribed in the participants Day Habilitation Support Plan (DHSP) or Community Based Day Supports Individual Support Plan (ISP).  

Day Services Direct Support Professional staff are responsible for regularly interacting with and engaging program participants to ensure they are supported in the completion of their daily routine in the day services program. Staff are responsible for treating all participants with dignity and respect and for ensuring the human rights of all participants served are met.## Qualifications Qualifications  To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily.

Experience/Education  High School diploma or GED  Previous related experience providing childcare/elder care/direct support to developmentally disabled persons or previous experience supporting individuals in a mental health/special education or other human services setting is required.  An equivalent combination of education and related work experience may be considered.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations  Must successfully complete all mandatory trainings as required by the Agency within the required timeframe.  Current First Aid certification  Current CPR certification  Certification in specific restraint training required  MAP Certification required for CBDS positions - will train the right candidate
