Seeking a Laser Welder for a leading technology company in Chelmsford, MA. This is an exciting contract opportunity with potential for long-term employment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding small and micro parts, ensuring precision and quality in every project. This role involves working with advanced welding equipment to produce high-quality welds on various materials.

• Perform laser welding of microelectronic assemblies to create hermetic seals, using equipment such as automated machines, leak checking devices, and vacuum ovens.
• Utilize specialized equipment for laser welding, including automated laser welding machines, mechanical presses, and inert gas glove boxes.
• Troubleshoot assemblies that do not pass leak checks and perform other microelectronic assembly tasks.
• Assemble electronic components, sub-assemblies, and products following work instructions and drawings.
• Adjust machine settings as necessary to maintain product quality.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and processes.
• Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment to ensure reliable operation.
• Maintain accurate data entry related to production processes.
• Collaborate with team members to improve throughput and support continuous improvement.

• Experience with laser welding and TIG welding equipment for precision welding on small and micro parts (preferred).
• Basic computer skills for navigating digital systems.
• Proficiency in basic math for measurements and calculations.
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Knowledge of ESD procedures and machine operation.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability, with a desire to grow in the role.
• High school diploma or GED required.
