Role snapshot
As an Industrial Spray Coating Technician, you’ll apply high-quality finishes to a range of parts, holding tight tolerances and meeting precise specifications. You’ll mix coatings, fine-tune viscosity, and operate spray equipment with care and consistency—all while keeping safety and quality front and center.

- Compensation range: $20.00–$31.00
- Full-time, first shift
- Hours:
6:00 AM — 2:30 PM, Monday–Friday

Start your shift by reviewing the day’s jobs and pulling the exact coatings from inventory. You’ll set up the booth, mix single- and two-component paints—including two-part urethanes with reducer—to the correct spraying viscosity, and lay down smooth, consistent coats. Between runs, you’ll inspect parts against customer specifications, keep your equipment in peak condition, and manage materials safely and responsibly.
What you’ll do- Pull the specified paint from inventory and prepare materials for each work order.
- Mix coatings to proper spraying viscosity; blend two-part urethane paint with reducer as required.
- Spray parts to print, achieving precise tolerances and finish quality.
- Inspect finished parts to confirm compliance with customer specifications.
- Return surplus paint to the booth-side waste paint container for hazardous-waste pickup by the material handler.
- Clean the spray gun with solvent; collect the used solvent in the second bucket at the booth for hazardous-waste collection by the material handler.
- Promptly absorb and contain any hazardous-waste spills using approved absorbent; follow established hazardous-waste procedures.
- Replace filters and clean the spray booth as needed.
- Move materials and maintain housekeeping standards in your area.
- Strong hand–eye coordination, fine motor control, and accurate color recognition.
- Clear, effective communication and the ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
- Safety-first mindset that protects people and the environment; maintains a clean, orderly work area.
- High reliability and consistency in quality and attendance.
- 2 years of industrial spray painting (or equivalent experience).
- Ability to pass a respiratory physical.
- Occasionally move equipment up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to ascend/descend stairs.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, and kneel.
