Program Services Assistant
Action for Boston Community Development, Inc. seeks a Program Services Assistant to support the Education, Training, and Youth Services Department in Chelsea, MA. Compensation is per year.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a positive first impression of the Career Center by communicating professionally.
- Deliver quality customer service by promptly and accurately fielding customer questions.
- Direct customers appropriately and communicate information about the agency’s general operations.
- Explain to customers the procedure and process for the Career Center.
- Handle high‑stress situations while demonstrating sound decision‑making skills.
- Continuously maintain knowledge about all units of the Career Center, community programs, and resources, especially those of the Career Center Partner Organizations.
- Process a high volume of walk‑in inquiries while answering and routing a high volume of incoming calls appropriately; take accurate messages when necessary.
- Input relevant customer data accurately and promptly by following all MOSES (database) entry policies, including customer registration, services, notes, and signing up customers for workshops.
- Locate, organize, and maintain information.
- Maintain confidential records and information.
- Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.
- Bilingual Spanish speaker required.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–3 years of relevant experience.
- Associate’s degree in human services, public administration, business management, or a related field is preferred.
- At least two years of experience working in a career center, call center, or another related environment is preferred.
- Ability to work sensitively and effectively with individuals from diverse social, economic, and cultural backgrounds.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills with the ability to work independently.

Expected Salary: $43,000 USD. Salary scales are set according to an explicit compensation policy and relevant market data. Due to funding restrictions and our strong focus on internal parity, this salary is thoughtfully aligned with the duties expected for this role and offers are firm.
