Schedule and Duration
:
Full-time from June 23th to August 15th, 2025 (40 hrs/week)

Salary
:
Starting wage $16/hour

Staff Training
:
Mandatory online training in for an evening May date and time TBD ; in-person training one weekend in June, both days all day and attendance is manadtory. Training is paid.

Job Summary
:
As a Summer Camp Counselor, you will work under the guidance of the Senior Counselor and Summer Camp Manager to implement age-appropriate camp programming for children. Your primary objective is to support the development and success of Cascades Club’s summer programs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Senior Counselors and Summer Camp Manager to execute weekly camp programs.

Foster a respectful, cooperative, and fun atmosphere that emphasizes team-building and fair play.

Deliver a diverse and age-specific multisport summer camp program designed by the Summer Camp Manager and Administrator & Program Coordinator.

Support the Summer Camp Manager in upholding club safety standards and ensuring adherence to the Cascades Code of Conduct.

Monitor group activities for compliance with club policies and procedures.

Assist in maintaining a clean and organized clubhouse and surrounding property, as well as keeping equipment in good condition.

Execute emergency procedures as needed.

Experience, Qualifications, and

Skills:

Proficiency in both French and English.

Completion of Canadian Red Cross Standard First-Aid and CPR/AED “C” or equivalent (must be completed before camp starts).

Previous experience working with groups of children in a camp or daycare setting.

Strong organizational, creative, and problem-solving abilities.

Familiarity with the Coaching Association of Canada’s ‘Safe Sport’ Training model is advantageous.

Red Cross Lifeguard and Swim Instructor certifications are beneficial.
