We are a boutique NYC plant shop and interiors cape/landscape design company with locations in the West Village, Upper West Side and Chelsea. Our team is passionate about greenery and dedicated to creating lush, inspiring spaces. We’re looking for a dynamic individual(s) to join us in a hybrid role, splitting their time between our retail stores and our Field Horticulture team.
This role is perfect for someone who loves plants, enjoys engaging with customers, and thrives in a hands‑on, collaborative environment. As a Retail Associate, you’ll help customers select plants, provide care advice, and ensure our stores remain beautiful, inspiring and lush. As a Plant Maintenance Associate, you’ll work with our Field Horticulture team to maintain and care for client installations, keeping plants healthy and thriving in various interior and exterior settings.
Qualifications- Experience with plants and indoor horticulture required.
- Experience in customer service required.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and transport plants, soil, and other materials as needed.
- Self‑motivated, reliable, and a team player.
- Availability to work weekends and flexible shifts.
- Ability to travel to maintenance sites around NYC via public transportation.
- Drivers license preferred but not required.
- Assist customers with plant selection, care guidance, and product recommendations.
- Process transactions, assist with visual merchandising, and help ensure a welcoming shopping experience.
- Monitor store inventory and assist with restocking and receiving shipments.
- Educate customers about the wide range of horticultural services our business offers.
- Travel to client sites to maintain and care for indoor and outdoor plant installations.
- Water, prune, clean, and fertilize plants to ensure optimal health and appearance.
- Identify and address plant health issues, including pest management and disease prevention.
- Work with the team to install new plants and refresh existing plant designs.
