Customer Service Rep, Retail Associate/ Customer Service
Overview
Cashiers play a critical customer service role by providing customers with fast, friendly, accurate and safe service. They process Checkout and/or Return transactions, monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area, and proactively share product knowledge to inform customers and identify selling opportunities. The Head Cashier role includes supporting Cashiers by expediting price checks, approving Point of Sale transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental.
This position also provides first-level escalation for customer issues and may assist in supervision, coaching and training of Front End Associates.
Preferred qualification for a Head Cashier is 1+ years of Cashier experience.
Responsibilities- Process checkout and return transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area and assist customers as needed.
- Proactively obtain product knowledge to provide information and identify selling opportunities.
- Follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink.
- Head Cashier responsibilities: expedite price checks, approve POS transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental.
- Provide first-level escalation for customer issues.
- Assist in supervision, coaching and training of Front End Associates; participate in training of new Cashiers and use available tools to coach and develop others.
- Preferred: 1+ years of Cashier experience.
- Full-time
Pay up to $17.50/hr (varies by location).
