Accounts & Audit Senior Associate

Hazlewoods is proud to be one of the largest independent chartered accountants and business advisers in the Southwest, with over 600 dedicated professionals across Gloucestershire.

Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a qualified accountant to join our specialist legal team. Based in beautiful offices in central Cheltenham, the team comprises more than 50 professionals, including three Partners, and services over 200 law firms and over 1,000 individual solicitors.

The position is in an important strategic area for the business and the individual will have the responsibility for delivering an exceptional service to a growing client portfolio of law firms.

• Supervising a portfolio of clients, taking responsibility for every aspect of their work, including preparation of statutory accounts, tax computations, overseeing the SRA Accounts Rules audit and dealing with day-to-day queries
• Planning and carrying out statutory accounts audit work through to completion, including financial reporting.
• Working closely with tax colleagues to deliver personal and business tax returns Assisting with ad hoc project work.

• ACA/ACCA qualified, or part qualified.
• Experience of working with different entities, including limited companies, traditional partnerships and LLPs.
• Statutory accounts audits experience preferred but not essential.
