We're looking for an Audit Senior Manager to join a thriving team based in the Cheltenham area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with ambitious businesses, leading high-performing teams, and making a real commercial impact beyond the audit process.
No two days are the same. You'll work with a broad portfolio of owner-managed businesses, growing companies and established organisations across a variety of sectors, providing strategic advice alongside high-quality audit services.
What You'll Be DoingAs a senior member of the audit leadership team, you'll take ownership of a diverse client portfolio, ensuring exceptional service while building long-term partnerships.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading audits from planning through to final completion.
- Managing a varied portfolio of clients with turnovers ranging from approximately £1 million to £100 million.
- Acting as the primary contact for clients, providing practical commercial and technical advice.
- Supporting businesses through significant milestones such as acquisitions, disposals, investment rounds and business restructuring.
- Coaching, mentoring and developing members of the audit team, helping them reach their potential.
- Reviewing work, managing deadlines and maintaining high technical standards.
- Identifying opportunities to broaden client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across different service lines to deliver joined-up advice for clients.
You’ll be someone who enjoys building trusted relationships, leading by example and finding practical solutions for clients.
We’re interested in people who have:
- ACA, ACCA or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Significant experience managing audit assignments within practice.
- Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, auditing standards and UK company legislation.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with business owners and senior stakeholders.
- A proactive, commercially minded approach with an eye for identifying opportunities.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A passion for developing people and creating high-performing teams.
