Service Centre Manager

We are actively recruiting for a skilled and experienced Automotive Service Centre Manager to join an established family-run independent automotive service centre based in Cheltenham. The successful Automotive Service Centre Manager will be a key part of the team, ensuring smooth day-to-day management and operational efficiency.

• Starting salary around £35,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience

• Monday to Friday working hours, 8:15am-5:30pm

• Managing daily operations of the automotive service centre
• Leading and supporting a small team of vehicle technicians
• Managing workshop schedules and allocating workload efficiently
  
  Assisting with workshop tasks such as diagnostic scanning, tyre fitting, and basic repairs when required
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to customer satisfaction
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers
• Preparing estimates, managing stock, and reconciling supplier accounts
• Overseeing workplace health & safety and workshop housekeeping
• Contributing to business growth through excellent customer service and technical support

• Proven experience within the motor trade, ideally with management or supervisory responsibilities
• Strong workshop knowledge, with hands‑on experience in diagnostics, basic practical tasks, and tyre fitting being advantageous
• Excellent organisation, communication, and customer service skills
• Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
• Confidence in managing workshop schedules and operational processes
• A valid UK driving licence with minimal points
• Ability to identify additional revenue opportunities and optimise workshop profitability
