- Previous compliance experience within an insurance broker or regulated insurance environment
- Strong understanding of FCA regulations, including ICOBS, Consumer Duty and SM&CR
- Experience developing and maintaining compliance policies, procedures and registers
- Experience conducting compliance monitoring and reporting findings
- Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and communicate them clearly across the business
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of compliance responsibilities
- Experience supporting FCA Direct Authorisation projects
- Experience producing Consumer Duty Board reports
- Exposure to working alongside external compliance consultants
- Experience with in a high-growth or scaling business
- Owning and developing the company’s compliance framework
- Maintaining policies, procedures, registers and governance documentation
- Acting as the first point of contact for compliance-related queries across the business
- Monitoring compliance activity and reporting findings to senior stakeholders
- Ensuring the business remains aligned with FCA requirements and industry regulations
- Supporting the company’s transition towards FCA Direct Authorisation
- Assisting with Consumer Duty implementation and ongoing compliance obligations
- Working closely with external compliance consultants on specialist regulatory projects
- Supporting regulatory reporting and governance requirements
- Delivering practical compliance guidance across the business
