About The Role

We are enthusiastic that our Revenue Management team in Cheltenham has another opportunity for someone to join us in the role of Credit Controller
. This team is a fundamental part of HCR, and supports our 13 offices across England and Wales.

The purpose of the role is to help maintain an effective and professional credit control system for the company, all while fostering existing relationships with our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting in achieving monthly cash collection targets
  • Liaising directly with clients on outstanding and overdue balances
  • Ensuring accurate records are kept of all conversations/communications with clients
  • Production of monthly statements & letters
  • Liaising with departments to keep them informed of progress on payments
  • Assisting in suspending bill procedures where instructed and appropriate
  • Managing instalment payments, checking that they are received as agreed and chasing when instalments are missed
  • Assisting in the process of passing debts to the Debt Recovery team where appropriate
About You
  • Experienced using Excel, ideally at an intermediate level
  • Adaptable and professional telephone etiquette
  • Proficient using Outlook
  • Confident communication skills
  • Client focused
  • Calm and solution driven
  • Previous experience within a professional services environment would be advantageous

We are looking for someone with real confidence communicating with clients from all walks of life. You may be currently working in a regulated industry such as insurance or banking, or even customer service; we would love to have an application from you.
