Stafford Lawrence is recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Cost Consultant to join a premier Chartered Surveying practice based in the Cheltenham and Tewkesbury area.

The Role- Quantity Surveyor Job Vacancy Cheltenham
You will be responsible for delivering cost management services across a diverse portfolio. While the firm has a strong presence in residential, healthcare, and interior fit‑out sectors, they are eager to attract talent with experience in mixed‑use, commercial, or infrastructure projects as well. This role provides the opportunity to work on significant projects throughout the Cheltenham and Gloucestershire area.
Candidate RequirementsThe ideal candidate will be a proactive professional with a solid foundation in the consultancy market.
Experience: 3 to 5 years of post‑qualification experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a Cost Consultancy or PQS firm in the United Kingdom.

Proven experience in Residential, Healthcare, or Interior Fit‑out projects. Additional experience in other construction sectors is highly welcomed.Education: A Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related construction discipline. HND qualifications will be considered provided they are paired with strong practical cost consultancy experience.
Professional Status: MRICS Chartered status is highly desirable. Candidates currently working towards their APC with 12 to 18 months remaining are encouraged to apply, as the firm provides excellent APC training and mentoring support.
Location: Candidates should be based in or within commuting distance of Cheltenham, Gloucester, or Worcester. Applications from those looking to relocate to the region are also welcomed.
Personal Attributes: Strong communication skills and a professional approach to client liaison. Experience in mentoring junior team members is considered a valuable asset.

Basic Salary: 30,000 to 42,000 GBP per annum depending on experience.
