SENCO – Inclusive Secondary School – Cheltenham – April Start

Location: Cheltenham

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: MPS / UPS (SEN Allowance)

An experienced and dedicated SENCO is required for a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Cheltenham. This is a key leadership role within the school, where you will lead on provision for students with special educational needs and ensure that all students receive the support they need to succeed.

Your Role as SENCO :
  • Oversee the provision for students with special educational needs, ensuring that they have access to a broad and balanced curriculum.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to implement and review the school’s SEND policy.
  • Lead and mentor a team of teaching assistants and support staff to ensure effective delivery of personalized support.
  • Liaise with parents, external agencies, and professionals to coordinate support and interventions for SEND students.
  • Monitor and track the progress of SEND students to ensure their academic success and emotional well‑being.
Who We’re Looking For :
  • A qualified teacher with a recognized SENCO qualification or the willingness to obtain one.
  • Significant experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • A compassionate and proactive approach to supporting SEND students.
  • Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to obtain one).
