About this jobDean Close Foundation is looking to appoint a highly organised and discreet Pastoral & SEND Administrator to provide administrative support to the Pastoral, Wellbeing and Safeguarding teams.
The role involves close working with senior staff, supporting child welfare and child protection processes, and liaising with external agencies where appropriate.
The successful candidate will manage diaries, inboxes and meetings for pastoral leaders, maintain accurate records, support recruitment and budgeting activity, and assist with pupil wellbeing provision, including counselling and the Pastoral Hub.
The role also supports the SEN department and the oversight of international pupils, including guardianship, travel logs and visa compliance.
A significant aspect of the post involves safeguarding administration.
This includes supporting safeguarding meetings, maintaining and monitoring systems, ensuring staff training and statutory requirements are up to date, managing child protection records, and monitoring pupils of concern.
The role requires excellent organisational skills, strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
Experience of working in a school or safeguarding environment would be advantageous.
