Job Description
We are gathering interest for Theoretical Knowledge Instructors to join our Ground School team delivering theoretical aviation instruction across the UK CAA and EASA ATPL syllabus in accordance with Skyborne Airline Academy standards and relevant aviation authority regulations. You will be teaching a high calibre of individuals that are highly capable and have undergone a rigorous selection process to ensure that each trainee meets course standards, training requirements, and learning objectives and excels with us.
The Theoretical Knowledge Instructor will lead by example, demonstrating professional behaviour and attitude, alongside specialised theoretical and practical knowledge of their area of expertise.
Duties include :
- Delivering Theoretical Knowledge Instruction to Trainees
- Monitoring Trainee progress
- Preparing and maintaining Training Records
- Ensuring their theoretical knowledge is current and up to date with all published learning objectives
- Conducting administrative and other duties that directly support the role of the CTKI
- Ensuring training policies and processes are followed
- Communicating and promoting policies, procedures and standards throughout the Academy
- Ensuring that all Theoretical Knowledge training documentation, manuals and courseware are fit for purpose and meet all requirements
Qualifications
- Experience in delivering ATPL Theoretical Knowledge Instruction (desirable)
- Experience in developing, revising, and overseeing course materials and examinations (desirable)
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Supportive and approachable, motivational, mentoring and guiding students
- Actively contributes to continuous improvement and standardisation of training delivery
- Positive and enthusiastic approach, focused on ensuring students enjoy an excellent learning experience
- Strong report writing skills and confident IT user, with sound knowledge of the Microsoft office suite
Salary £46,786 - £55,697 FTE (depending on experience).
Both Full Time and Part Time applications to be considered.
