We are working with a well-regarded secondary school seeking an exceptional English specialist to step in as Interim Head of English for the Summer Term. The school is keen to secure a highly capable practitioner who can maintain strong leadership and outstanding teaching across the department.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

Lead the English Department throughout the Summer Term
Teach English Language and English Literature up to A Level
Deliver consistently high‑quality lessons across all year groups
Support the continued progress, curriculum delivery, and standards within the department
Work collaboratively with senior leaders to ensure smooth continuity during the period of cover

About You

A very experienced English Teacher with a proven track record of excellence who is ready to step upYou must be:

An outstanding classroom practitioner with English as your main specialism
Confident teaching both Language and Literature at KS3-KS5
